It is with great pride that I welcome you to the Umoona Community Council Inc. (UCCI) website.

I would like to first acknowledge the Antakirinja Matu-Yankunytjatjara People, the Traditional Owners of the land on which we live and work in Coober Pedy. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present, and emerging, and recognise their deep connection to Country, culture, and community. At UCCI, we are committed to working together in respect, unity, and reconciliation.

UCCI has been the heart of Aboriginal advocacy, support, and empowerment in Coober Pedy for 50 years. We are deeply committed to strengthening our community through housing, education, health, cultural programs, and essential services.

At Umoona, we believe in self-determination, cultural preservation, and growth. Our dedicated team works tirelessly to ensure that our programs and services remain accessible, inclusive, and impactful, responding to the evolving needs of our people. From our housing initiatives and child care services to our Mobile Assistance Patrol (MAPS) and Sobering Up Centre, we are here to uplift, support, and create opportunities for our community members.
