Return to Country

Our Return to Country (RTC) Program supports vulnerable community members in safely returning to their home communities. Delivered in partnership with our Sobering Up Unit (S.U.U.), the program provides a safe place to rest, essential care, and coordinated transport for those experiencing homelessness or without the means to get home.

We work closely with local service providers to offer outreach support, including help with medical appointments, financial and logistical assistance (such as replacing lost keycards and arranging transfers), and emergency support on the ground — like water drops and welfare checks.

Our program plays a vital role in strengthening community connections, reducing isolation, and ensuring our people receive the care and support they need to return home safely and with dignity.

Our Return to Country Team.

Meet the dedicated team behind Umoona’s Return to Country (RTC) Program—working compassionately to support individuals in crisis with safe transport, essential care, and community reconnection. In partnership with the Sobering Up Unit, this team provides vital outreach, logistical assistance, and emergency support to help people return home safely and with dignity.
